Mutual Relations and Interactions
between Slavonic Nations and Countries
This session will examine the mutual relations and interactions between Slavonic nations. It will focus on charting developments, forms, and key actors in cultural exchange in literature (the reception of literature, translations) and other art forms (music, theatre, film, comics). It will also explore historical links between the Czechs and other Slavonic nations as well as between other Slavonic nations. We particularly welcome papers on the history of political and scientific relations or interactions within one of the Slav-dominated regions.
Topics:
- interactions between Slavonic literatures and cultures (the mutual reception of Slavonic literatures and cultures, mutual influences – within the Slavonic language area – on literary and cultural development and the reflection of historical events)
- overlooked chapters in the history of linguistic, literary, cultural, political, academic, and scientific
contacts (research on unknown or little-known phenomena
and events related to contacts and interactions between Slavonic nations)
